Quality Concerns — What You’re Really Worried About

Q1: Is the quality consistent from batch to batch?

This is the #1 concern for overseas buyers. At BOYA, every batch is tested against the approved master sample using a spectrophotometer. Delta E < 1.0 means the color difference is invisible to the human eye. We also send pre-shipment photos for your approval. If you're worried about consistency, start with a trial order (100-200m) and test it yourself.

Q2: How do I know the fabric will look the same as the sample?

We keep your sealed approval sample for 24 months. Before bulk production, we send you a pre-production sample for sign-off. During production, we pull random rolls for inspection. If the color deviates beyond Delta E 1.5, the batch is rejected before it ships.

Q3: What if the fabric pills or fades after a few months?

Pilling is caused by loose fibers rubbing together. BOYA uses anti-pilling technology (charge neutralization + singeing) that achieves grade 4-5 on the pilling scale. For fading, we offer solution-dyed fabrics with UV-resistant properties. Both are backed by test reports.

Q4: Do you test for有害物质/harmful substances?

Yes. Our fabrics are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means they pass strict limits on formaldehyde, heavy metals, pesticides, and phthalates. European REACH compliance also available.

Q5: Can I get inspection reports from third parties?

Q15: What information do you need to give me an accurate quote?

To give you the best price: fabric type (velvet/chenille/polyester/linen), weight/GSM target, width, finish treatments (waterproof/flame-retardant), and estimated order quantity per color. The more details, the more accurate the quote.

Q16: How do I know if you’re being honest about lead times?

We under-promise and over-deliver. Our standard lead time is 15-20 days. If we say 20 days, it usually ships in 15-18. We also send weekly production updates so you know exactly where your order stands.

To US West Coast: 18-22 days. US East Coast: 28-32 days. Europe: 25-30 days. Middle East: 15-20 days. Southeast Asia: 7-10 days. Door-to-door total: add 5-7 days for customs clearance.

Q20: What’s the cheapest shipping method for small orders?

For orders under 3 CBM: LCL (less than container load) or air freight. We can arrange consolidated shipping with other fabric orders to share container costs. For urgent small orders: express courier (DHL/FedEx) at 3-7 days.

Q21: How is the fabric packed for export?

Each roll: moisture-proof PE bag + standard paper core. Outer: 5-layer export carton or woven polypropylene bag. Palletized with stretch wrap. Container loading photos provided. Custom packaging available on request.

Q22: What are your FOB terms?

FOB Shanghai or Ningbo. We’re located in Keqiao, approx 2 hours from both ports. We handle all export documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificate of origin.
