OEM / ODM FOR SOFA TEXTILES

Turn a Product Idea Into a Production-Ready Specification

BOYA supports custom development and small-order sampling for sofa covers, sofa throws, modular sofa pads and coordinated home-textile products. Start with the product form and market need; then select the applicable material, decorative process, edge finish, functional backing and branding method.

Customization capabilities

Each capability is selected around the final use case. A process name alone is not a performance promise; construction, sample approval and any required testing must match the exact SKU and destination.

01 · DEVELOPMENT

Small-order sampling

Develop and evaluate a product before committing to a larger order. Sampling scope depends on material availability, process complexity, dimensions, artwork and the intended bulk plan.

02 · DEVELOPMENT

Custom product development

Translate a reference product, sketch, tech pack or channel requirement into a written material, size, construction, workmanship and packaging specification.

03 · EDGE

Decorative lace & edge details

Add suitable lace, tassel or decorative edge treatments to sofa throws, covers and coordinated textiles after style, durability and care requirements are reviewed.

04 · CUTTING

Ultrasonic cutting

Use ultrasonic cutting for compatible synthetic constructions where controlled, clean edges and efficient repeat production are required.

05 · SEWING

Machine-sewn hemming

Apply machine-sewn hems, binding and constructed edges according to the product form, seam appearance and agreed workmanship reference.

06 · BRANDING

Custom logo applications

Assess woven labels, care labels, printed branding, embroidery or other suitable logo placements after artwork, material, position and quantity are confirmed.

07 · SURFACE DESIGN

Printing

Develop printed patterns and colorways for compatible materials. Artwork repeat, color reference, printing route and final appearance are approved during development.

08 · SURFACE DESIGN

Embroidery

Add decorative embroidery after confirming artwork, stitch area, thread colors, base fabric, backing requirements and care expectations.

09 · CONSTRUCTION

Jacquard weaving

Create woven-in patterns and textured structures for suitable sofa-textile programs. Yarn, repeat, color plan and order scale are assessed before development.

10 · FUNCTION

Laminated anti-slip backing

Combine the face textile with a suitable anti-slip backing where the product construction and target sofa surface support the application.

11 · FUNCTION

Anti-slip dot coating

Apply dot-pattern grip treatment to compatible products. Grip should be evaluated with the target surface, pad dimensions, installation and household use conditions.

12 · FUNCTION

Waterproof construction

Develop waterproof or water-resistant structures according to the required barrier method and test scope. The claim must be verified for the final SKU.

13 · FUNCTION

Cat-scratch-resistant construction

Evaluate tighter or more suitable surface constructions for homes with cats. Scratch resistance is use- and construction-dependent and should not be described as indestructible.

From brief to approved production

The purpose of the process is to remove ambiguity before scale. Each step produces a decision or an approved reference.

Define the use case

Confirm channel, customer, sofa form, size system, destination and target price position.

Lock the construction

Select material, surface design, edge method, backing, functional treatment and branding route.

Review feasibility

Check material and process availability, artwork, quantity, packaging and evidence requirements.

Make the sample

Create the agreed development sample or small-order pilot under project-specific terms.

Approve measurable details

Approve dimensions, color reference, workmanship, function, care, labels and packaging in writing.

Confirm bulk and QC plan

Confirm quantity, schedule, inspection points, packing data, commercial terms and shipment plan.

Planning basis: custom sample making normally takes about five days. After the sample and written specification are approved, customized bulk production normally takes about 10–15 days before dispatch. These are planning ranges—not destination delivery promises—and remain subject to material, process, quantity, packaging, payment and the current production schedule.

OEM questions buyers ask first

Can BOYA support a small custom sample order?

Yes, small-order sampling and development can be assessed. Feasibility, cost, quantity and timing depend on the material, process, dimensions, artwork and intended bulk project.

Can several processes be combined in one product?

Potentially. For example, a surface design, sewn edge, logo and functional backing may be combined when the construction remains manufacturable and the sample meets the agreed criteria.

Is every customized product waterproof, non-slip or cat-scratch resistant?

No. These functions depend on the exact construction and use conditions. The final claim and applicable evidence must be confirmed for the selected SKU.

What is the MOQ for custom development?

MOQ is confirmed after the product, material, process, size, color, packaging and production route are defined. Eligible stock-based trials and newly developed constructions can have different requirements.

What should I send for a fast feasibility check?

Send a product link or reference image, dimensions, target material and color, required processes, trial and expected bulk quantity, destination, packaging and required date.

Build the specification before asking for a generic price

A useful OEM quotation begins with one clear product and the variables that change its construction. Send your reference, size, required process, quantity, destination and packaging needs. BOYA will confirm feasibility and the next development step.
